AFC West Ham
If this DOES happen, how many of you would go to watch them rather than WHU?
It seems that the board are trying to get rid of the likes of us attending at the OS, so perhaps it would be a good move for all concerned.
I've been to a few lower and non league games recently, it's a much more enjoyable day out. Club bars run by old biddies who seem to know everyone's name, PIES for £1.50, a sense of community etc. I like all that.
This NEW WHU is not the team I married.
I would attend a Phoenix club.
Not as a protest, I'd still be a WHU fan, but all this sanitised corporate shit is just not my bag.

Went to Dagenham & Redbridge last year, saw a 0-0 draw.

The beer was good, that's as much as I'll say.

Cool story bro...

Re: AFC West Ham
There are adult men who still use the phrase "cool story bro", and think it's an amusing aside?

How enchanting.

I'm out. As much as it sounds like a good idea, I can't support anyone other than the original West Ham United.

Re: AFC West Ham
In all seriousness though, there's def a chance this will take off within the next few years.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but easily a few thousand who no longer feel a connection with he current West Ham, for whatever reason.

Come renewal time there'll be even more, plenty will be looking for something to fill their Saturday with.

I can't breakaway, though you make me cry
I can't breakaway, I can't say goodbye
No I'll never never breakaway from you, no, no
No, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no

1.50 a pie sounds tempting though.

If anything happened that made me not want to go anymore at all, I would just give up football altogether.

Re: AFC West Ham
Having said that, I enjoyed the Chelsea game, but I think that atmosphere was probably a one off.
The board will make sure nobody enjoys themselves there from now on.

Re: AFC West Ham
Never. There are plenty of local lower league clubs I might support but I have always supported West Ham. If they win I'm ecstatic if they lose I'm a moody cunt. I LIKE IT THAT WAY.

My boy plays for one of the Thurrock FC youth sides. Few times they've had training sessions at the ground before kick off on a Saturday afternoon and we've stayed for the match and enjoyed every minute of it.
Cheap beer, quick service and bacon rolls watching the action from a few feet away - what's not to like.

Re: AFC West Ham
No not for me. West Ham is my team and if its not going as we think it should i think we should stand together and change it.

Re: AFC West Ham
If I ever rag off west ham in any way it'll be completely divorcing myself from the London stadium and do aways only. I might go and watch a non league team but could never support another team. Supporting an AFC west ham would feel wrong IMO.

I haven't completely given up on homes as my 'matchday experience'is excellent unlike my match experience which ia shit. If that makes sense

Re: AFC West Ham
These spin off clubs don't sit well with me. Other than Wimbledon, but that was different as they completely screwed the club over by relocating. Even the Manchester FC or whatever they're called is a bit shit, I'd rather support Salford if I was them.

This would only ever work if West Ham United went under.

Re: AFC West Ham
It wouldn't work with our fans, we have an old school fanbase I can't see many people going if it did happen.
